Oh Jackson...

This morning as Jackson and I were sitting down for breakfast I got a fabulous call from Jared telling me he got ANOTHER ticket. I told him how he's a doof and he needs to stop getting tickets all the time and we ended the conversation. Then the conversation continued between Jackson and me:

Jackson
: "So, what's going on Mom?"
Mom: "Dad got a ticket for going through a red light."
Jackson: "So what's going to happen now?"
Mom: "Dad will have to pay lots of money to pay for the ticket and I will be mad because I have other things I would like to use that money for."
Jackson: "So does he have to go to jail?"
Mom: *chuckles* "No, he doesn't have to go to jail."
Jackson: "Remember how Sharidee had that movie where the guys broke out of jail (referring to Escape from Alcatraz)?
Mom: "Yeah"
Jackson: "That was nice they could escape so they could go back to their families."
Mom: *really chuckles* "Yeah, except they did some really bad stuff and they belong in jail. But you really don't need to worry, Dad isn't going to jail."

Tonight during bath time:
Mom: "Jackson! You can't turn the water so hot!!!"
Tanner: "Yeah, cuz that will boil us.
Mom: "Yep."
Tanner: "Then Mom will eat us."
Mom: "No..."
Jackson: "No, she will only eat us if we're cooked in a pan."

I could go on and on but that's enough for now. And you are all welcome for the Mass bloggings :)

Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point

Last night we went with the Moores to the Tulip Festival in Lehi and it was so beautiful. Tulips have always been my favorite flower (although my kids are convinced it is the dandelion since it is the only one I let them pick) so it was fun to see so many in such a beautiful garden. Jared is planning to buy a more "professional" camera for his office so it was too bad we didn't have it yet, but we still got some cute pictures of the kids having fun.

Sydney, Jackson, and Tanner

Tanner Moore (who was convinced the fountain was a giant bathtub), Jackson, Tanner Weaver, Sydney, and Natalie.

Feeding the koi (sp?) in the fishpond

Jared rolling down the hill

Sydney fashioning her cool shades

My boys call me princess, which I'm not gonna pretend I don't love. And since I'm a princess I must always wear flowers. Here's Jackson presenting me with a gift (which I gratefully accept and put on my ear like a Hawaiian flower along with the 10 other dandelions I put in my ear a day).

Cutie pies.

Weavers, food, and fun.

A couple of weeks ago we had Jared's parents and the youngest third of the siblings over for some gyoza and curry rice. And of course where there's a Weaver there's a party.

I finally got Jared to wake up and get off the couch just to find this.

Here's Ma and Pa Weaver watching the fun.

I don't know many families as competitive as the Weavers and I don't know many people who are the chronic underdog like myself but I won croquet!! That's pretty amazing since I've never won anything sport related in my life!

It's been 6 months!!

Remember my post about the snow in October? Here's a post about the snow in April. That's SIX MONTHS mother earth. Enough is ENOUGH!!!

Easter (lotsa pictures!)

We started our Easter festivities at Murray Park this year. We went there with Jennifer, Stanton, Tiffany, Mick and Addy. Our kids did an Easter egg hunt that lasted literally 1 minute where we got yelled at by another Dad for allowing a "big kid" at the "little kid" Easter egg hunt where Jackson got a total of 3 eggs and was very well under the age limit. *note to self: never go to another Easter egg hunt that involves more than 1 million kids and their competitive parents.

After Murray Park Tiffany invited us back to her house for a Pancake breakfast (including the ever infamous caramel syrup, yes I meant infamous meaning I gain 10 delicious pounds just smelling it) and yet another Easter egg hunt.

Easter morning the Easter bunny left Jackson and Tanner a basket full of goodies. I could have swore the Easter Bunny left Tanner Bolt and Jackson Pokemon but Jared and I were woken up to Jackson jumping on our bed yelling "The Easter Bunny gave me Bolt," oh well, whatever. After they looked through their baskets they went on yet another Easter egg hunt around the house.

After church we headed over to Grandpa's house for the our families traditional Easter dinner (ham, salad, other stuff). Then the kids, of course, had another Easter egg hunt.

Vroom Vroom!

A few weeks ago we went up North to hang out with Jared's brother Cole and sister-in-law Janet. It's always fun to go hang out with them plus it's also nice 'cause their kids babysit our kids and our kids are in absolute heaven!! We went to dinner then headed over to the go-carts in Layton. Other than getting a little dizzy from going in so many circles it's really fun to fly around the track.

Here are the boys Jared and Cole

And the girls Sara and Janet

We had to buy a "driver's license" on top of the $40 they charge so hopefully we'll go back and make use of our money...

Our New Garden

The Saturday before Easter my Dad and Jared started a garden in our backyard!! We are really excited to grow our own veggies although it's been 8 days since I planted seed and I've watered 2 times and it's rained once. I have a feeling it's supposed to have more water than that but opefully that'll do the trick since I can never remember to water the darn thing. I'm too used to being in VA where all you do is throw some seeds down and you have a mountain of green within a couple of weeks. Darn desert.

I won't fail to mention how much WORK my dad and Jared put into this thing. Thanks Dad for doing this!! We are really excited to try succeed at our new garden!!

April Fools

Yesterday-Jackson, Tanner, and Mom eating lunch together

Mom: So Jackson, what did you learn about at school today?

Jackson: ummmmm, the letter Q again.

Mom: Did you learn about April Fools or anything?

Jackson: MOM! There's a spider on your shoulder!!

Mom looks at her shoulder

Jackson: Yes I did.

Today in the car

Mom: What did you guys do at the gym today?

Jackson: Do you want to hear about the bad things or the good things?

Mom sighs
