Nervous

Lately I have had a hard time sleeping and not for reasons expected like tossing and turning to find a comfortable position to sleep with a basketball stuffed under my ribs (although I'm sure that has added to the problem). I think I'm getting nervous to have another baby. With Jackson I was so busy finishing school and working I didn't have time to prepare too much. I got really nervous because I didn't take any birthing classes or read any books and I had zero idea of what actually happened during labor. Luckily Jared's mom is a pro after having 9 children, (most of them natural and at home) she was able to tell me when I was in labor. Jared also helped a lot during labor and it ended up all being very exciting and wonderful. Even though it seemed to work itself out with Jackson and Tanner I feel like an amateur all over again. I'm afraid I won't know what to do in the hospital, what kind of things to pack, how to nurse, how to change a girl's baby diaper, what if I don't wake up in the night when she cries... It's been almost four years since Tanner was born and it seems like an eternity ago. I am banking on everything working itself out and hopefully I'll just remember how to be a mom of a brand new baby again.

Other than that, we are very excited to welcome little baby Annie into our family! Time flew by so fast and I can't believe I'm scheduled to be induced in three days. I wasn't able to nest very much before Jackson and Tanner were born since we were in the process of moving to VA with Jackson and we were too broke with Tanner. With this one I've had a lot of fun getting the nursery ready and buying all the little bows, dresses and shoes!! Now it's just a matter of a small countdown until I can get to use all of these things and hopefully take good care of a brand new baby!! Wish us luck because I'm sure we'll need it!!!
