Drum roll please.....

I am all blogged out! Woo hoo. This is the last and final post to be caught up.

We went to Gardner Village a few weeks ago with my parents for family night to see the witches. We got to go on a hay ride out to the witches house where they showed us how they live and the boys loved it. We also went to Archibalds for dinner after and it was great because I got a free meal for having a birthday this month!



For some reason the other pictures won't load sooo there are more witches to come....

Oh Tanner, Tanner, Tanner.

A few weeks ago I asked my dad to take our fall family pictures. The ones we have up in our living room were taken exactly three years ago by a friend in Virginia and we were finally set to get our pictures done. This is what I found two days before we were going to get those pictures done.

This is Tanner after I yelled (maybe a bit too loudly) at him and he ran away and fell asleep crying.


This is after I shaved off all his hair. He's peeking over the tub apparently still a little afraid of me and my yelling. Tanner is such a sweet little boy and it's actually hard to get upset with him because he always knows how to melt my heart. So even though I was really upset at first my anger didn't last too long.


One of the many other mischievous things he does while I'm not watching. I'm not sure what he was trying to get but I'm sure he got it.

Fall!!!!

I LOVE the fall! I can't explain the excitement I feel when I get to go up in the mountains on a fall day and smell the pine and the leaves that have fallen and feel the cool crisp air on my face. I feel like we had ONE day where it was warm and the trees barely started changing colors before the temperature dropped ridiculously low. We were lucky enough Jared got off work early on that day to go up Big Cottonwood Canyon and walk around Silver Lake.

Soccer

Both boys got to play soccer this fall. Jackson has turned completely around and LOVES to play. He's still a bit timid so he doesn't make many goals but he's great at defense! Tanner on the other hand still finds sticks, grass, friends, clouds, whatever else catches his eye more interesting than the game. Either way they both had a great time and got some really cool trophies.








Apparently a couple of girls on Jackson's team had a little fight over him. The girl's mom's told me that they argue over who likes him more. They had a conversation where one girl said "Jackson's totally into me." and the other girl said "no, he's into me!!" I thought that was pretty funny. At one of the games one of the girls even got gutsy enough to try to kiss him during practice. Of course Jackson is a typical 5 year old boy and dodged it! I asked Jackson what he does to all the girls that make them all like him so much and he said "that easy mom, I just say nice things to them." hee hee. And so it begins....

Tagging along with the Simmons

We invited ourselves to go along with Tiffany and Mick to San Diego in September and we're SOO happy they let us go with them!! We had a really great time and took over 600 pictures so here are just a few in no real order and doesn't include ALL the highlights. You can look at Tiffany's blog for a few more pics.

I thought all the kids were really cute together. Our boys LOVE Addy!




We stopped over in Vegas and it is A LOT more uncensored than I ever remember. It was pretty intense for Jackson, he asked to be held on Jared's back so he didn't have to see all the gross pictures on the ground. This is the M&M factory-this part was safe for the kiddos.




After 3 parks these boys got a little Micktuckered out.


This is a Weaver nest. It really is made by birds called the weaver bird from Africa.


Tanner is our animal lover. His favorite phrase is "see, he likes me." He thinks all animals adore him as much as he adores them.




Jackson loved having Addy around. He took it upon himself to take extra care of her all the time. (I told him he could have a crazy hair day and this is it).


We also had a couple of really great beach days. If you ever saw what our family is like around sand you'd understand why we have zero pictures of the beach! We're all a bit beach crazy and we had tons and tons of fun! Thanks again team Simmons for a great trip!

Remembering Grandma

We all went to the cemetery to visit Grandma's grave last September to remember her life and all she gave us as a family. We also went to the temple after and it was really nice, especially for Jared and me since we don't go nearly as often as we would like.





This is dear old Mickey Poo, always there to make things just a little more Mickdonculous.

Some serous catch-up!!

A couple months ago Sharidee, Mom Weaver, Suzie, Shanna, Shaylee, Tricia and I all got together and did Salsa again. This year it seemed like a lot more work than last year (at least for the superwomen that stayed up through the night, I went off to bed, one of many perks of being able to pull the pregnant card!!)
