A couple of weeks ago Jamie said she was running the Canyonlands 1/2 marathon and invited me to try and get a bib and run with her. I didn't really have time to train but I figured I would try even if I didn't run very fast. I was a little nervous when I actually got a bib and payed the money but it turned out to be really fun. Jamie was nice enough to stay with me and keep me going. I felt pretty good up until about mile 9 then I started pooping out. At about mile 11 I really started to feel it and I started wondering if I was going to be able to run the rest of the way but I kept going. I'm usually pretty good at pushing pretty hard the last mile but this time I just got mentally tired and I couldn't seem to push myself anymore so Jamie went ahead and I slowed waaay down. Nevertheless we both finished and it was really fun.
Here's Jamie kicking my trash :)

Here's me trying desperately to get to the finish (and those darn headphones wouldn't stay in my ears!)

Way to be Sara! Jamie is your sister right?? Hey, did you ever get my message about the cheap flights here? did you book them and are just going to come as a surprise? Ok, don't tell me! This is so exciting!!
Congratulations on the race. That is wonderful! It looks like you guys have had a fun and busy winter. We miss ya'll.
How did you do 13.1 miles with out hardly any training...I don't have time for training but I do - late at night. But if I knew your secret. :) Good job!
I still don't know how you do it Sara...bravo! Good for you! Your San Francisco trip looked like so much fun!
Hey good job on the run! and looks like you're posting the way I do... wait a few months then post like ten things :) i like it!
Sara is my inspiration! You are amazing to whip that 1/2 out without any training. Way to go!
How about a little less physical activity and lets plan a game night. Are you going to G-pa's for conf? Easter?
WAY TO GO SARA!!! That is awesome! Who can just go out there and do that? I am impressed. Glad to see that you and your family are having so much fun!
That is very impressive. I'm glad you were able to run with Jamie. I feel a little silly now thinking that I need to start training for my 5k I am doing in May! I love all of your cute pictures too of Moab. We need to take Parker there because I haven't been there for a long time. Way to go!!!
Wow, you are amazing to just be able to do a 1/2 marathon with no training! I feel amazing when I run 1 mile. Looks like y'all have had lots of fun stuff going on lately, especially your trip to San Francisco. I wanna go!
